So sorry to have to do this, but since I am one of those freaks that gets curious, I wanted to know if CarrieBradshaw.com was in fact real. Well, it is.  But, why? The three books that the author Carrie wrote are featured on the website, but not to purchase since they are indeed fake.  However, they come with fake excerpts and I came across her first novel, Sex and the City (a la Season 4) and noticed that Carrie Bradshaw is not a good speller. 

Excerpt from Charlotte's first wedding: 

"My cab ride to the church from my "not so perfect" Upper East Side neighborhood.  Let me just say this:  Vera Wang's perfect bridesmaid dress - wan not deigned to get in and out of a cab." 

So, now I am just waiting to see if Vogue will cover a fake rendition of Carrie Bradshaw as a contributing fashion writer or whatever her made-up title was. I do know that Vogue has an impeccable editing staff and expect no spelling errors.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

This year will mark another mega success for Chick lits' in the box office.  Authors such as Helen Fielding ("Bridget Jones' Diary") Candace Bushnell ("Sex and the City", "Lipstick Jungle") and Lauren Weisberger ("Devil Wears Prada") prove that fashionista literature translates well on to the silver screens.  

Coming this fall, bestseller novel "Confessions of a Shopaholic" by Sophie Kinsella will have its turn at the big box office dollars.
