La Famiglia di Missoni.

via WWD - It was a family reunion at Missoni for the spring ad campaign. Set on communicating a “different and more realistic” point of view while keeping a lid on budgets, Angela Missoni reunited the clan to front the new campaign, which breaks in February fashion titles. The ads, shot by Juergen Teller over dinner at founders Rosita and Tai Missoni’s house, also feature Angela’s progenies, Margherita, Teresa and Francesco Maccapani Missoni, and her bother Vittorio Missoni’s siblings, Ottavio Junior, Marco and Giacomo. ... “I wanted to highlight our reality and our lifestyle, which is reflected in our unique product and in the artisanal aspect,” said Angela Missoni. “This campaign really reflects the mood I’m in these days, even from a design stance.”

Monday's Marc: Her Name Was Lola
Marc Jacobs introduces his new flirty fragrance, "Lola." The scent will launch in the fall at Bloomingdales starting in August. Juergen Teller shot the campaign and Marc told WWD, "where Daisy is more innocent and sweet, Lola is more sensual - the name conjures up a flirtatious, warm spirit," he said. "It was the first thing that came to my mind. It just felt natural in contrast to Daisy."

Alexander Wang will debut 5 styles from his new shoe line in Fall '08.
Lots of developments this year for 24-year old San Francisco native, Alexander Wang. An Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award, a CFDA Swarovski nomination for womenswear and being one of the top 10 finalists vying for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. This Fall season is crucial as all eyes are on him from buyers, editors and most importantly consumers. Wang revealed to WWD about two product launches for the upcoming season. A new shoe collection and a lower priced diffusion label, T by Alexander Wang. The t-shirt line is all about cotton basics and will feature 12 styles from tanks to t-shirt dresses.
"Wang’s footwear, on the other hand, is aggressively sexy. There are five styles, each a variation on the platform sandal. “Everyone’s been doing an open-toe,” says Wang. “I added the thong to give a fresh perspective and make it more provocative. The thong between your toes, it draws your attention to that area.” Priced at $125 to $250 wholesale, the collection ranges from a perforated leather bootie to a heel topped with fringe. Wang even tossed in a few tough-chic fetish references, courtesy of actual body-piercing rings he’s used as hardware. The inspiration here? The shoes were designed as a contrast to his upcoming spring lineup, which he promises will be a marked departure from past collections. Instead of a grungy attitude and a focus on separates, there will be lots of color and dresses, underscored by an athletic-meets-“Miami Vice” vibe influenced by two recent trips to the sunny city.
