My Monday Night Football

Somewhere in the San Fernando Valley, I have locked myself in a room with a HQ flatscreen, a bottle of red wine, two slices of pizza (okay make it 3) and my laptop and Blackberry. (You know, in case of emergencies) And....a pack of Marlboro Lights, but only 2 cigarettes will be smoked in the next 3-4 hours. (I swear?) Fashion week is over for me and dammit, I deserve this! The whole world is shut out until Tuesday morning, or at least 11pm PST.
Here's three reasons why:

(P.S. Go Eagles, I guess. Hate the Cowboys)

Bikini Or Bust

Ashley Paige is the real deal beach girl.  The swimwear designer is based in Los Angeles, but has been beachside her whole life.  And now, the same crazy and neurotic designer whose first words to greet Teen Vogue's then intern, Lauren Conrad (MTV's The Hills) were, "Do you know how to answer phones?" will now have her own reality show.
(Sorry, I mean "tv-documentary"). On July 11th, TLC will debut 'Bikini or Bust' based on the struggles and lifestyle of swimwear designer Ashley Paige.
Well, I've always liked her collection, but also got a kick out of her personality on season 1 of The Hills, because on the day of your own fashion show, that's no acting!

La Fille Chic Fait Bon

Lauren Conrad, designer and reality show celebutante, oh and fashion intern for Teen Vogue, has had a lot to do in the last months of hiatus.  When LC left us for Paris to attend The Crillon Ball it was only a matter of time before she picked up a few Parisian influences.

For one her hair is a touch of "la boheme" a far cry from the everyday blow out in the last three seasons.  And then there's her new Chanel bag, a trade-off from the quilted tote that ex-beau Jason had given her. LC's coquette taste has moved over to the vintage side.  Her new baby, the Chanel vintage quilted bag is more iconic than the tote and more exclusive. Well done LC!

And talk about ch-cha-changes, the Lauren Conrad Collection debuted at L.A. Fashion Week. Not bad for an unexpected decision to show, being a first timer and just having a lot on your professional plate at such a young age. My favorite part that definitely shows what she took from Paris was the closing song.

The Hills airs its third season next Monday, March 24th on MTV at 10pm ET/PT.
