Mackage on Gossip Girl

Cold weather is never out of style with a Mackage coat. The outerwear collection is luxurious and well-detailed. The women's coats are feminine fit, infused with a Russian military feel. In this last Monday's episode of Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf wore the Lindy coat by Mackage ($638). Other celebrity fans of this collection are Jessica Biel, John Legend and Nicky Hilton. Men's collection is also available and you can shop online at Mackage.com.

My Monday Night Football

Somewhere in the San Fernando Valley, I have locked myself in a room with a HQ flatscreen, a bottle of red wine, two slices of pizza (okay make it 3) and my laptop and Blackberry. (You know, in case of emergencies) And....a pack of Marlboro Lights, but only 2 cigarettes will be smoked in the next 3-4 hours. (I swear?) Fashion week is over for me and dammit, I deserve this! The whole world is shut out until Tuesday morning, or at least 11pm PST.
Here's three reasons why:

(P.S. Go Eagles, I guess. Hate the Cowboys)

L.L.C.B. = Ladies Love Chuck Bass

Okay, so he's not grade A in the trustful boyfriend department. But, Chuck Bass is not boyfriend material. He may be a dapper, handsome English boy underneath, but CB knows how to be a player, Upper East Side Manhattan style.

Ladies love Chuck Bass.

Chuck Bass wears it like he owns it.

Ah, and I always, always say, there's not enough sweater boys. Luckily Chuck Bass always comes through for me.

My brother explains it like this, "he's what straight guys really wish they could be as cool as, and all the gay guys dig his clothes." Rightfully said.

After all... he is who he says he is. He so had Lydia Hearst at hello....

Gossip Girls & Henri Bendels...totes

This Sunday, August 17th, Henri Bendel (Jenny's "layaway" haven) will reveal a Gossip Girl inspired window, designed by the show's costume designer Eric Daman.  This is no prep school high jink, Gossip Girl is officially a Manhattan way of life.

The Virgins

They had me at "hey rich girls!" The Virgins debut self-titled album finally came out on June 3rd.  We have Gossip Girl to blame for the fanatic craze of this four cutie-men band (and they could tell good jokes).  Just good New York band music, we've been due for one of those.
So looking forward to this album since the EP is all I've been living on the last 6 months. Plus artists Dan Colen and Terry Richardson collaborated on the packaging on the album.  I'll say it, The Virgins are the new Strokes.

Buy the album here.

Leighton Meester's Attack of the Giggles

Leighton Meester and Conan O'Brien were like B.F.F.'s during this enjoyable interview. Not only did Conan admit to shamelessly watching Gossip Girl, they danced, she giggled, he called her Giggles, all very adorable...
(and "scarf power" I love her)

Sretsis backward is...

With a name like "sisters" backwards, this hot brand plays tongue-in-cheek with the humor of the three sisters behind Sretsis. Originally from Thailand, designer Pim Sukhahuta during her junior year at Parsons School of Design, made the decision overnight to open her first boutique. In 2002, Pim teamed up with older sister Kly - a publishing major who now oversees marketing and little sister Matina, who designs the line's accessories, to form Sretsis.

The girls share a sense of whimsy - erring on the side of mischief and lends the line's elegant pieces a delightful girly and cheeky edge.

Sretsis is coming into its own on the red carpet and even pop culture.

Rachel Bilson in Sretsis

Blaire Waldorf (Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl) loves Sretsis.

Sretsis is available online at Milk and Takashimaya in New York City.

It's here!

School is back in session! I knew that once the dreadful writers strike hit, my biggest worry was only and truly Gossip Girl. There really hasn't been this much frenzy since that other network show about Friends in the '90's. The writing is so O.C. for the east coast, the parties, secrets, Chuck Bass and even the shopping scenes in Nolita is prime time joy for me.
If you really want to know, Serena had me at first episode hello when she said, "have you seen my Michel Perry's?"
(I worked on that account by the way, so I felt her pain)

Here's a clip where Serena and Blair discuss the benefits of being "nice." Now, I'm not crazy about the little tribe of "gossipettes" in their matching trench coats and headbands, but watching S & B chat reminds me a whole lot of private school with my BFF. Or sitting around a fashion showroom. :) "Tell me my hair looks beautiful." (Any of my friends out there, I think I've said that once or twice)

Gossip Girl is back on tonight at 8pm et/pt on the CW.
