 Sofia Coppola adds her creative touch to a special issue of W Magazine's May 2014. Starting with the cover girl, Kirsten Dunst, a constant cinematic muse of the director.  

“I never realized how much work goes into a magazine. It’s kind of similar to doing a movie,” Coppola said. “I’m surprised how they do it every month.” This special edition issue goes on sale on Monday.

 Who: Directed by Gia Coppola (Sofia's niece) and as lead role. 

 What: "Writer's Block" a short film for Dian von Furstenberg's Current/Elliot collab from this past spring 2012. The short film depicts a young twenty-something screenwriter, donning a most chic wardrobe yet suffering from writer's block. 

 Who else: Cameo by Ray Liotta. Narration by Aubrey Plaza.

Sofia Coppola has designed a special Spring '09 collection of handbags and shoes for Louis Vuitton that will launch first in Japan in December and will then be available all over the world. (In the photo she holds the SC bag for LV)

Her style mantra: "I like to be comfortable, because I'm Californian - nothing too severe or feeling I am wearing a costume."

Her inspiration: A trip to Louis Vuitton's headquarters in Asnières. Sofia's aim was to design a lightweight, no-fuss day bag. (Uber Californian) In her words, "the perfect bag that doesn't exist."

During her MTV cameo stints and just before the "lost in translation" phase, it's all very pre-Marc Jacobs.  I am giving her feathered bangs (fringe for the English)....a Perfect 10.

Francis Ford Coppola and daughter Sofia Coppola graces the upcoming Louis Vuitton 'Core Values' Campaign photographed by Annie Leibovitz.  The photo shoot took place in the countryside outside Buenos Aires, the location where Daddy Coppola is shooting his next film.  

The tagline reads, "Inside every story, there is a beautiful journey." 

The New Face(s) of Louis Vuitton...

Francis Ford-Coppola and daughter Sofia Coppola took a backseat in directing when they were shot by Annie Leibovitz for the upcoming Louis Vuitton Core Values ad campaign.  In the past, the Core Values campaign has featured famous cultural and even political figures in a series of ads designed to commemorate the history and tradition of the Louis Vuitton brand. Past ads featured Catherine Deneuve, Keith Richard and Mikhail Gorbachev.
