Candy Pratts Price


"You want it; earn it." - Candy Pratts Price - Executive Fashion Director of Style.com

I met Candy Pratts Price many years ago at a private soiree for past CFDA honoree, Teri Agins. She was wearing a gorgeous beaded necklace at which I complimented and CPP said, "Oh thanks, it's apple-skin-red." She was referring to the color (which by the way was a Jade green) and at that exact moment I knew that I loved working in fashion, because of people like her. 
That's my Candy Pratts Price story and I'm sticking to it. 

Tonight, at the CFDA Awards, Candy Pratts Price will receive the coveted Eugenia Sheppard Award.  Since the 1980's she's covered fashion from Harper's Bazaar to Vogue to E! Network. And what only true CPP cultists also know is that a late '80's film, Lady Beware was based on CPP's early days designing award-winning store windows and displays at Bloomingdales. Diane Lane plays young Candy. Let's roll a trailer clip:
