
Lee Miller was an American roaring 20's Vogue fashion model and an avant-garde muse for Man Ray, Cocteau and Picasso. She was also a fearless WWII photojournalist on the German front lines. Her early surrealist-influenced photographs from war-torn to fashion pages, Miller always used the lens as an investigative tool to what was really going on.
The current retrospective going on at SF Moma displays Miller's career as a photographer and explores her transformation from muse to a photojournalist.
