Tim would bring me back to level over a nice cup of English Breakfast tea, that used to be our ritual. I'm feeling kind of lost without his words of wisdom and fear that maybe I'm not as confident in my political views without a dry erase board explanation? So, again...we were so very lucky to have him and I love this tribute that Conan O'Brien did and kudos as it's a lot tougher for him than it is for me.

Still...
...remembering Tim Russert. A little bit tougher than I expected, especially with pre-election mania in the midst. I've been a closet Meet the Press fan over the years, probably because it airs way early on Sunday mornings and have caught it when I've "stumbled in at dawn".

Tim Russert 1950-2008

Tim Russert will truly be missed as our quintessential Washington Insider. Personally, Tim was like my rock and and a window to the outside world during September 11th. I think because when he spoke, especially during such times, it not only came from a political view, but from the eyes of a father, husband and a son. He was a good American no matter what anyone said. And might I add, thanks to him I seriously now understand the electoral college count by way of his infamous dry erase board and markers. We will miss you Tim!
