Lil' Backdoor Action In New York City?

Can you name drop at least 20 of the most impressive and attractive gay men in a New York minute?

LRB is looking to make a new list.  A hot list of Manhattan's 20G's who are capable of standing and posing all on their own, oh so adorable and uber handsome, funny (make that witty), a follower of fashion, a do-gooder, a bad boy, intelligent, well-read (reading UrbanDaddy on a daily doesn't count, not that it's bad, but we're looking for books here), Must Love Boys and must do brunch.

You can nominate your gay BFF, gay boyfriend, gay husband, gay brother, gay editor, gay boss, gay stylist, I mean the world is your pearl oyster here.
Here are the requirements one must meet to be on the 20G's list
- Lives in NYC (Okay, we'll count in the burroughs)
- Nice on the eyes
- Great personality that if they were to make a reality show on him, he'd be the new Rhoda to the Mary
- We kinda hope he's up on his Sartorialist
- Not a backstabber (I mean not that we or Page Six knows of)
- Reads Page Six
- Knows that Hollister isn't really fashion (sorry but true)
- It's okay if he thinks Suri Cruise is already a fledging fashionista
- He has to be somewhat connected. Like Paul, pictured above, he knows what it takes and who it takes to get him in.  You know what I mean?

Deadline is Friday, September 26th 5pm PST. Email littleredbook.blog@gmail.com with a photo and three reasons why he should be on the 20G's list.
Oh, and you can nominate yourself, we won't tell or judge or pass along to any gossip columnists. I swear on my Little Red Book

There's no sponsored prizes so have fun with this and give someone (or yourself) a hot 15 minutes of online fame. Some people out there actually deserve it.

Insider: Faran Krentcil

name: Faran Krentcil

occupation: Digital Director of Nylon Magazine and Contributing Editor (translation: Party Girl) for Page Six Magazine

hometown: Andover, MA
homebase: East Village, NYC

who is your favorite socialite right now?
The Imaginary one.

what are the normal business hours of a typical fashion & entertainment blogger?
10:30am to 6pm, in the office. From 6 to 8pm, cocktail parties.  8pm to midnight, real parties. Then run home, write about it, fall asleep and do it all over again.

do you remember your first icon? what was it about him/her?
I think it must've been my mother. I was captivated by photos my dad had taken of her back in the '70's.  She was so casual but so amazingly cool, like long wide leg jeans and skinny ribbed sweaters and she had long, straight hair and lots of gold bangles.  I guess everyone's mom looked like that in the '70's, but it still sticks with me. I'll forever be married to wide leg jeans, merino wool turtlenecks and black kohl eyeliner.

you've become the eyes and ears of this institution. what's the most overused word in the industry? "Wearable." And most overused word from people who think they're in the industry is "fabulous."

what's the most usable phrase overheard at Nylon headquarters?
"Heyyyyyyyy."

if there was a web documentary made about "Faran Fashionista" (totally made that up, for the record), what would a typical day and night be like?
It would have to be a cartoon, because I don't think I'd let cameras follow me around.  It would involve some sort of almost-Disney princess floating through parties, getting rather bored or disenchanted and calling little birdies and mice to make her a great pair of jeans. At the end she would escape to a secret rock club and the ever-hopeful musical numbers would be written by Duncan Sheik or Green Day.

how's it feel to be page six magazine's 'six in the city' spy? and if you had to pick one for the rest of your life, cindy adams or perez hilton?
It's great, the things I get to write are really fun and it's fascinating to learn the inner workings of a major newspaper.  Actually, I've never met Cindy Adams, but I think Mario (that's Perez) is really, really sweet in person.

what did you wear to work today?
A Diane Von Furstenberg long-sleeve cotton shirt dress, vintage purple resin bangles, navy blue Converse low-tops and blue nail polish (Dior) painted over black nail polish (Wet & Wild).

what is your bag and what's in it?
My bag is a deep red Miu Miu and inside is...
-Louis Vuitton pochette that holds my wallet (Le Sportsac), Chapstick, business cards, my keys and iPhone
- A small bag of almonds
- My passport, because I just got my license renewed.
- A mix CD I just made for my friend Helen.
- My camera
- A Sharpie. Never go anywhere without a Sharpie!!! (*Sigh* A girl after my own heart, click here)
- Tylenol
