A Bathing Ape Lands on Melrose

Last Tuesday, the long awaited A Bathing Ape store opened on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Nigo, the founder behind the creative marketing concept and business of A Bathing Ape, has transformed his Tokyo-born, hip-hop street inspired retail business into a $59 million dollar lifestyle empire.

Some of BAPE's celebrity fans include Kanye West, Joel Madden, Jermaine Dupri and Pharell Williams.

McQueen on Melrose

Sitting on a Melrose corner is a new kid in town and goes by the name Alexander McQueen.
He brings with him 'Angel of the Americas' a strapping work of stainless steel art whose essential job is to greet all visitors upon arrival.

The corner store on Melrose and Orlando is built with a dramatic skylight through which the 'Angel' sculpture is ascending to observe the gorgeous Los Angeles skyline.

The Melrose shop will carry McQueen's full line of women's and menswear as well accessories and luggage.
