Where Were You When You Heard ... June 25th, 2009

with a few seasons under your belt, what are some of the challenges for young, emerging designers?
Having financial stability in this city is really difficult.
was this what you wanted to be when you grew up?
Yes, ever since I was 6 years old.
3 recent fashion purchases:
An antique ring from a vintage shop in the East Village, 2 pairs of strappy, flat sandals from some boutique on Ludlow and I'm buying fabric to make dresses for my spring/summer '09 collection.
how would you describe the main difference between l.a. and new york fashion?
Well, now that Heidi Montag is a "designer" ... enough said.
what did you wear to work today?
A red vintage cotton sundress with my Converse Chucks.
what are your favorite late-night spots in Manhattan?
I like house parties and working in my studio when nobody is around.
so far, what would you say is a designer no-no? (career wise)
Paying people in advance ... Big mistake!
name one thing that is currently on your mood board?
Classic YSL
blackberry or iPhone?
Blackberry for now, but considering the iPhone for quality of pictures.

A New York skyline, penthouse in Gramercy Park (with central-air), cocktails, beautiful faces, VIP gift bags and a sample sale, that's a perfect way to spend a hot, summer evening in the city.
