Brian Reyes Spring 2010. NY Fashion Week.

via WWD - A riff on human anatomy and Victoriana like Brian Reyes’ spring collection has potential for a dark turn. But he delivered a rather pretty take on elements of the macabre. He kept his references light: Victorian via fresh ticking-striped shirting reimagined as a bodysuit and crisp dress, and Rorschach-esque prints, one of which was intended to look like a bleeding heart, on tank and T-shirt dresses. Indeed, silhouettes, including draped shorts, and body-skimming dresses were played very safe, save for the lingerie effects — bras and tap pants peeking out from shirts and dresses. Then again, Reyes has an innerwear line to push, and he did so with a gentle, charming touch.
