what are the three best things about working in the fashion industry?

a) Being part of a creative process that impacts the world.
b) I actually think that the people are one of the best parts of working in this industry. You're able to interact with some of the smartest and most creative people in the world on a regular basis and understand or see how they process everything around them.
c) I think right now it's really exciting to be part of the industry, because it's changing to incorporate other creative forces, like artists and then fashion is affecting those creative markets such as art and the worldwide consumerism of art.

what was your very first job and do you apply anything from it with your current?

My very first job in life was working at the local pool in the concession stand...it was so long ago, I don't remember what I did. My job in college was being a server. I apply a lot of what I learned in that field to my current job. This is my first job out of college.

do you have a daily indulgence and if so what is it?
My biggest daily indulgence is the gym. It's a time when I can de-stress and work out a lot of the toxins in my body.

what has been the biggest challenges during fashion week for you?

It is a big challenge to get used to the hours during fashion week. It's really difficult to adjust to working those hours and under such pressure for such an extended period of time, with that many people around and to be at your peak performance during those final days.

in fashion one must always be prepared for...
In my job, one must always be prepared to handle anything. My days are truly unpredictable most of the time and each day could really go anywhere. I think generally in fashion, one must be prepared to hear something they don't want to hear. It is the nature of the business to have to understand, interpret and react appropriately to something you didn't want to hear.

what famous person/celebrity have you met through work that you thought was a really big deal? Victoria Beckham and Richard Prince have been two people that I've had the opportunity to meet and feel incredibly lucky to have been able to interact with them.

if stranded on a deserted island, what's one marc jacobs item you would most likely have with you? I would most likely have a bag with me...I always have some MJ or Marc by MJ bag.

three favorite songs on your iPod?
Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis, Be Gentle With Me by Boy Least Likely To and Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger by Daft Punk.
