The Darjeeling Limited DVD

The Darjeeling Limited dvd is now available with behind-the-scenes documentaries and the inclusion of the infamous short film, Hotel Chevalier (starring Natalie Portman and Jason Schwartzman).  The film was a written collaboration of Wes Anderson, Roman Coppola and Jason Schwartzman and directed by Wes Anderson.  Hotel Chevalier starts off the film as a 13-minute defining prologue of events to The Darjeeling Limited.  The story itself is a close enough depiction of what it is like for adult siblings.  This drama-comedy brings three estranged brothers (Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman) together to journey through India.  I think any traveling excursions with siblings should fall into some sort of film consideration.  Without even trying, you discover more about each other than you would ever have during any times in life.  The film is titled after their means of transportation, which is a very narrow train, Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.  It also stars Anjelica Huston, their long lost mother and a cameo by Bill Murray.

Now, I would say the best things about this film is a) Natalie Portman in Hotel Chevalier, b)Anjelica Huston (also falls as the worst only because there was just not enough of her) and
c) the exquisite 11-piece limited edition luggage set of Louis Vuitton by Marc Jacobs.  Speaking from my luxurious heart, it made the movie all the more special.
